Hope you have understood the concept of this project, if not please read the abstract / summary again. Here it is goes. People use third-party transportation for the day-to-day work. In most of the case the TAXI FARE is not up to pay per use methodology. Some time during round-up, it will favor passenger and some time it will favor the driver. In telephone calls, now there is pay per second advantage due to the technology available. We are working out similar mechanism to charge the passenger for each meter he is traveling and the time taken for his travel. There are many advantages like using the Free TAXI on the return route for mutual benefit and Share the TAXI between commuters going to same destination on the real-time basis.

The need of this project !

When you hire a TAXI, have you ever experienced that the TAXI driver has charged you more or he has cheated you by making big round for nearest location. Or Even some TAXI driver is good at his work you might have felt, the meter is tampered, it is running faster than the TAXI itself! It is strange experience.

Thanks to the state-of-the-art integration of GPS, SMS, Computer and Communication technology AUTOFARE have devised a system to calculate the Fare of the TAXI hire using some third-party common system. In this we have a way of getting prepaid account and credit which can be used across all TAXI which are under AUTOFARE payment system. It is good for drivers, fleet owners and the passengers.

How this works?

It is like any website owner who want to increase the traffic to their site do some marketing or sign up with some other companies for traffic flooding. Any TAXI driver or fleet owner what to enhance their hire rate, they have to purchase the AUTOFARE kit and get installed in their TAXI. With this AUTOFARE, server / system will know the place of the TAXI and the status like free or occupied. When somebody ask for TAXI between two places through internet / SMS will be forwarded to the most suitable TAXI driver and automated two-way call will be initiated to the agreed TAXI driver and the Passenger to get the exact details of the hire. Once the hire is over, the money will be transferred to the TAXI driver or fleet owner account and the summary will be updated in their respective account.
